The Slingshot
Developed to replace the most popular boat design of 2003 / 2004, Double Dutch decided to take a new approach rather than just cut down the existing Optima, as other manufacturers appear to have done. We have evaluated the good points from the Optima and with the experience from developing the Scimitar, we have combined speed with agility without sacrificing stability. When you go into an upstream gate and keep the boat flat, the boat maintains speed, if you have to dip the tail, the boat pivots whilst staying stable and controlled, when you are ready, lean forward and the boat squirts back into the flow.
