Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the best way to contact DDUK. e-mail is always checked, My mobile is always on but there are times when I may not be able to answer it, if busy or not answered, my mobile will divert to the house where there is an answering machine, leave a message and I will get back to you. Text message is also good.
2. Why should you buy from DDUK You, the customer are my number 1 priority and I want you to come back, so I will always work towards providing you with the best product and service I can. I am the only UK slalom boat importer who is in regular contact with the factory. I visit the factory at least every 6 weeks and should there be a problem which I cannot resolve, the factory can very quickly identify the problem and allow us to reach a suitable solution which works for all parties.
3. What colours can I have. We have RAL colour charts which allow us to mix pigment to any colour, if you can provide a colour sample or a RAL code, we will endeavour to get as close as possible. PS2 box blue is no problem.
4. Are the constructions as per the website. We may update some constructions based on feedback from our paddlers and that takes time to flow across into the website. If a boat needs to be built, but the normal grade of material is not available, we will alter the layup whilst keeping the strength/weight ratio as close as possible to the normal layup, usually we will go higher rather than lower.
5. Can you deliver to my home. I usually deliver to Nottingham or along my route between Dover, Yeovil and Notingham. If you live off that route, I will deliver at cost which will be agreed with you before hand.
6. Is DDUK a registered company. No, I am a VAT registered, sole trader.
7. Can I pay by credit card. Sorry I can't accept cards at the moment, but I am looking into it.
8. How do I pay. I take cheque or cash. A deposit of £200 is required when the boat is ordered and the outstanding balance is due when the boat is delivered. The goods remain the property of DDUK until they are paid for in full.
9. What if I decide to cancel after the boat is ordered. If the boat has not been started, then I will refund £150.00 straight away, the other £50 is to cover my expenses. If you should decide to reorder in the future, the £50 will be credited towards the new boat. If the boat has been started, I will sell it as quickly as possible. If I do not get the full RRP for it, I will use your deposit to make up the difference. Any monies left after that will be refunded, less £50 for my troubles.
10. Can I alter the construction. You can, but we do not accept responsibility if you subsequently find the boat more susceptible to damage. Our constructions are based on experience and our knowledge of composites. |
